The School Leadership Center of Greater New Orleans (SLC) invites principals and assistant principals from public, private, charter and parochial schools to submit applications for the 2014-2015 Fellows Program, a job-embedded professional development program limited to only 30 applicants.The Fellows Program is designed to advance excellence in school administration. Since 1997, SLC has trained more than 350 school leaders in southeast Louisiana to increase their leadership capacity through the Fellows Program, with a goal of improving student achievement for all students, said SLC Chief Executive Officer Dr. Brian Riedlinger. Historically, Fellows’ schools outperform non-SLC schools on state measures of student achievement, according to Dr. Riedlinger. Trained specialists at the Capital Area Agency on Aging will use this information to find the best Part D program available for an individual. “All we ask is that you call now,” said Ms. Mitchell. CAAA is also willing to do enrollment events at community centers, churches or other functions where at least 10 seniors needing assistance are present.
