New Orleans, LA — The Recovery School District (RSD) will host a groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate the start of construction on the Fisk-Howard building, the future home of Morris Jeff Community School. This ceremony will be one of a series of groundbreaking and ribbon cutting ceremonies taking place over the next few months to highlight the successful rebuilding of the city’s public schools.

The June 15 effective date means that the tax rolls will be open for inspection from Monday, July 15, 2013 – Thursday, August 15, 2013, or double the 15-day period New Orleans property owners previously had to dispute their property assessment. |
