Adds new Mandarin Chinese teacher for middle schoolers to learn 3rd language Audubon Charter School, a top performing dual program school, is proud to announce that its French Program has gained accreditation by the French Ministry of Education through 8th Grade. Audubon was previously accredited through 5th grade. As an accredited French PK-8 school, Audubon is officially recognized as a school that conforms to the curricula defined by the French Ministry of National Education. Accredited schools are unique because they teach the official French curriculum, unlike French immersion schools, which teach the Louisiana curriculum in French. Stuart H. Smith, one of the largest donors to the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and founder of the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic and Center for Social Justice at the university’s Broadway campus, will be honored Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 5:30 p.m. with a sculpture unveiling of his likeness.

Judyth Vary Baker is the author of ME AND LEE: How I Came To Know, Love and Lose Lee Harvey Oswald. She will be the featured speaker at a one-day symposium at Loyola University’s Miller Hall, Room 114 on Saturday, October 19, 2013, from 9 a.m. to noon, in New Orleans. The symposium is sponsored by Trineday Publishing and Attorney Stuart H. Smith and will feature other JFK researchers and authors.
Judyth Vary Baker knew Lee Harvey Oswald in the summer of 1963 and says that he did not kill President Kennedy. In fact, she reports that Oswald admired Kennedy, and actually risked his own life to try to save the President from a ring determined to murder him. Baker reports that on July 29, 1963 Oswald told her that there was a real conspiracy to kill JFK and that he was afraid that he was being set up to take the blame for the murder. The following month, Oswald participated in several public incidents which were intended to make him look pro-Castro. Both Oswald and Kennedy were murdered in November.
