Over the past two weeks, more than 80 volunteers from Crossroads Church, based in Cincinnati, have been helping to renovate the new Einstein Charter Middle at Sarah Towles Reed, 5316 Michoud Blvd in New Orleans East. Set to open for this school year, Crossroads volunteers from all over the country have been hard at work (on their own vacation time) painting, landscaping and replacing ceiling tiles and carpeting in anticipation. The volunteer effort was organized through HandsOn New Orleans.
“We are so thankful to the amazing group from Crosswords Church who have made our school a beautiful place to learn in,” said CEO Shawn Toranto. “The amount of work, effort and sacrifice that these volunteers have shown is priceless and we cannot express our gratitude enough. Our Middle School has become a wonderful academic environment where our children will feel at home.” As Einstein's third school in New Orleans East, Einstein Charter Middle at Sarah Towles Reed will offer innovative Career and Technical Education programming in addition to traditional college preparatory curriculum. Boeing, NASA, Coast Guard & others donate truckload of school supplies to Einstein Charter School8/5/2014 WHAT: Representatives from Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Jacobs Technologies, and the US Coast Guard will deliver a truckload of donated school supplies to the Einstein Charter School Extension on Wednesday. The supplies were collected from a school supply drive held for tenants of the Michoud Assembly Facility. Other donors include NASA, Marshall Space Flight Center, and Big Easy Studios.

At only 13 years old, Nguyen is already an accomplished artist. She started her career drawing, which soon carried over to a love for painting. When asked what she does in her free time, Nguyen vastly states, “I paint”. Einstein Charter Schools to host "No One Eats Alone" anti bullying campaign + TET Celebration2/11/2014 WHAT: As part of Einstein Charter Schools’ No Place For Hate anti-bullying campaign, the school will host a “No One Eats Alone” Day designed to build student relationships and prevent bullying. As well, Einstein Charter School Extension will hold a production of “TET: Celebrating the Year of the Horse.”
