12th Annual Refrigerator Art Auction & Gala to benefit the International School of Louisiana (ISL) When: Saturday, September 26, 6:00 PM to 10 PM Where: Generations Hall, 310 Andrew Higgins Dr . , New Orleans, LA 70130 Why: Inspired by the humble kitchen appliance that serves as the first showcase for budding artists everywhere; this fun-filled event features an eclectic art and non-art auction, fantastic food, live music and an open bar. The a uction includes hand painted custom-designed fridge doors and other unique items. Tickets: General admission tickets are $75 each or $140 per couple, inclusive of music, food, open bar, and silent auction. Reserved seating with bar service also available. Admission to Metro Night Club following Gala included. Pre-event online and campus ticket sales close on September 18, but tickets will be sold at the door night of the event. New this year, guests and community members can enjoy online and mobile bidding for our silent auction. International School of Louisiana Hosts 5k Spring Shuffle and 1 Mile Run to promote health and wellness in the community. When: Saturday, March 7 7:30 am – On-site Registration 8:00 am – 1 mile Run 8:30 am – 5k Run Activities until 10:30 am 
WHAT: In celebration of coastal awareness, International School of Louisiana art teacher Mario Padilla will be unveiling his sculpture ‘The Pelican’ at the school’s Bunche Campus.
WHEN: Friday, December 19th 10:00 am – 10:30 am 
International School of Louisiana will be presented with a special flag on Veteran’s Day from Josh Bravo, a member of the 159th Air National Guard. Bennet Bravo, son of Josh and ISL parent, will donate the flag to the school’s Jefferson Campus on 8101 Simon St. in Metairie at 8:00am.
“We are honored to be chosen to receive this special gift,” said ISL Principal Adierah Berger. “Not only will this be a sentimental occasion, but also a learning one for our students, and a great way to honor those who have served our country.” The flag was flown over the Gulf Coast on November 7, where it was wrapped and flown in a training mission. ISL’s Uptown and Westbank Campuses are open to any resident living in the state of Louisiana. ISL’s Jefferson Campus is open only to residents of Jefferson Parish.
