Warren Easton Charter High School Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) Week: Easton Hosts 7th Annual SAVE/No Place for Hate Empowerment Day Program on Dec. 4 Lusher, McMain, St. Augustine, Drexel Prep, New Orleans Science and Math, Lake Area, and the International High School to participate in anti-bullying conference WHAT: Warren Easton Charter High School is hosting its 7th Annual SAVE Week, a unique educational awareness event focusing on effective ways to prevent and reduce youth violence and bullying. WHEN: Thursday, December 3, 2015 5:00 – 7:00 PM WHERE: Warren Easton Charter High School 3019 Canal Street New Orleans, LA Young Audiences Charter School, the only arts-integrated elementary charter school on the Jefferson Parish Westbank, invites prospective students, along with their families, to attend an open house session to learn more about the school on Thursday, December 3, 2016 from 6-7pm or Saturday, December 5, 2016, from 10-11:30am. The sessions will be held at Young Audiences Charter School, 1407 Virgil Street in Gretna.

Young Audiences Charter School also invites prospective students and families to schedule a tour of the school if they cannot attend either of the Open Houses. Warren Easton Charter High School is excited to announce their selection for the 2015-2016 Lenovo Scholar Network. The program, now in its second year, provides select NAF academies across the country with a comprehensive mobile application development curriculum, promoting critical thinking, team building and analytical skills needed to create the next generation of developers and innovators. Warren Easton is one of 20 NAF academies across the US selected to participate in the Lenovo Scholar Network during the 2015-2016 academic year, and the only school from Louisiana selected.
The Easton students involved in the program will participate in a project-based competition focused on designing and developing a mobile app and a business plan for taking the app to market. Standing together at today’s Press Club of Baton Rouge event, former Democratic Attorney General candidate Geri Broussard Baloney endorsed Jeff Landry in the November 21st runoff.
