Over the past two weeks, more than 80 volunteers from Crossroads Church, based in Cincinnati, have been helping to renovate the new Einstein Charter Middle at Sarah Towles Reed, 5316 Michoud Blvd in New Orleans East.  Set to open for this school year, Crossroads volunteers from all over the country have been hard at work (on their own vacation time) painting, landscaping and replacing ceiling tiles and carpeting in anticipation.  The volunteer effort was organized through HandsOn New Orleans.

“We are so thankful to the amazing group from Crosswords Church who have made our school a beautiful place to learn in,” said CEO Shawn Toranto. “The amount of work, effort and sacrifice that these volunteers have shown is priceless and we cannot express our gratitude enough.  Our Middle School has become a wonderful academic environment where our children will feel at home.”

As Einstein's third school in New Orleans East, Einstein Charter Middle at Sarah Towles Reed will offer innovative Career and Technical Education programming in addition to traditional college preparatory curriculum.  Einstein is currently accepting applications for the 2015-16 school year ( www.einsteincharter.org ).
