Sci High to Host 2017 Student Summer Internship Show Case
75 Sci High Students held internships at businesses including Audubon Institute, Louisiana State University, Touro Infirmary, Tulane University, and Xavier University Cancer Research Institute

What:
The New Orleans Charter Science and Mathematics High School "Sci High" is hosting its annual Summer Internship Showcase. This event is the culmination of the Summer Internship Program and the celebration of the accomplishments of the 75 Sci High Interns that held paid internship placements around the city. The internships engage community partnerships, local industry, and student ambition.

University View Academy, the state’s leading provider of high-quality, free public online charter schooling for grades K through 12, still has spots available in its new Early College program.

The Early College program offers the ability for each accepted high school student to achieve an associate’s degree and high school diploma upon graduation through University View’s online platform.

Mandy B. LaCerte, the school’s Director of Early College and Workforce Development, said, “We are excited to have an innovative program that is the first of its kind in Louisiana and one of the first nationally online. Statistics show that graduates of this program will be successful in their post-secondary endeavors.
