The final deliberation by the jury took place this week in Paris, France. The award ceremony will take place on November 20 in Paris. This is the first time a book with Louisiana content wins this international award.
For their efforts in writing/directing the book, Acadie Then and Now: A People’s History, co-directors/authors Warren Perrin, Mary Broussard Perrin of Lafayette and Phil Comeau of Montreal have been awarded le Prix France-Acadie 2015.

Lodged among all the party stations set up for ULL at the New Orleans Marriott Hotel for the big bowl game, Host Home Bank President John Bordelon decided to squeeze in a little history. Historian Warren Perrin will be signing and selling his book Acadie Then and Now: A People's History and educating anyone who'll listen about the French exiles around the world, though best known as the Acadians of Louisiana.
