After-School Program Enrollment opens for Fall Programs at NFL-YET Center in Broadmoor

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Louisiana are eagerly preparing to re-open the Clubs for the 2014-2015 program year.  As your children are preparing to return to school, we are conducting our annual maintenance process, and preparing our facilities in Covington, New Orleans, Slidell, and Gretna.

The NFL-YET Boys & Girls Club Unit in New Orleans willl open for the school year on Tuesday, September 2. The Club will operate from 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Membership Registration
To begin the registration process for your child as a Club member for the After School Program, you will have the following options:  
  • Online Registration
Go to the Club’s website: www.bgcsela.org/nflyet-unit and download a copy of our membership application. Then complete, scan and return the membership application via email to nflyetunit@bgcsela.org. Payment of the registration fee and membership dues will be required when you pick up your child from the program on September 2.
  • Open Enrollment
Parents may complete a membership application and pay the membership fees to enroll their children in person at the NFL-YET Unit site (1140 S. Broad St.) at the following times:
  • Friday, August 29, 2014: 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • Monday, September, 1 2014: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.  
Enrollment will continue on a rolling basis for the remainder of the school year, as space allows.  

The membership dues will be $25 for the Fall Semester and $25 for the Spring Semester, plus a $10 initial registration fee. The registration fee and payment for the fall semester are due at the time of enrollment. Payment can be made via cash, check or money order. Programming The After School Program is an opportunity for young people to be engaged in fun and educational activities during the afternoon and evening hours when school is not in session. The NFL-YET Unit will offer programming in our core areas of Education & Career, Character & Leadership, Health & Life Skills, The Arts and Sports, Fitness & Recreation.  Programs  will include Power Hour (homework assistance program), Immersion Mentoring Program, Triple Play and more. Programs are designed to be hands-on, interactive and allow club members to continue important learning experiences designed to build upon the learning that takes place during the school day. Parents will receive a more detailed program schedule during the first week of the after school program.
