Audubon Uptown offers two separate and unique programs with a French or Montessori track, in one great school. Parents must choose a program during the application process. Audubon’s French School is fully accredited through the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) and is also designated by the Louisiana State Department of Education as a Certified World Languages Site.
The Montessori program is an Associate Member of the American Montessori Society, and is the only public Montessori program in New Orleans that extends beyond the Kindergarten level.
Audubon Gentilly combines the Montessori and French immersion curricula into a new Montessori French Immersion model. The school opened in August 2018 with grades Pre-K(4) – 2 and will add one grade level per year until reaching grades Pre-K(3) – 8. The Pre-K(3) program is expected to open in December 2019. The Montessori French Language Immersion Model is the only program of its kind in Louisiana. Students receive instruction from both a Montessori Lead Teacher and a French speaking Co-Teacher with materials in both English and French.
Audubon is a ONE APP school. Applicants should go to enrollnola.org to apply. For more information, call (504) 324-7100, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or go to www.auduboncharter.com.
