"My skill set closely identifies with the requirements of the Office of Clerk because it is an administrative position in which the Clerk must manage the daily activities of the office and supervise employees who are expected to provide quality customer service," said Mr. Badon. "I have managed large numbers of employees in high volume environments and I also have a large amount of experience in providing quality customer service to patrons."
Mr. Badon served three terms in the Louisiana House of Representatives and is represented as a respected community leader, along with his wife Therese. They are members of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church and their son attends Lake Forest Charter School.
The Council leaders, who are also joined in their endorsement by Council members Jay Banks and Kristin G. Palmer, praised Mr. Badon for being extremely active in New Orleans community as a volunteer through his church, as a volunteer baseball coach for young people, through his years of service to the Boys Scouts of America, and as a leader in public education reforms that help disadvantaged youth.
"I love my city," said Mr. Badon, "and I'm anxious to improve our access to justice."
