Former Legislator Austin Badon has won the united endorsement of the Orleans Parish Democratic and Republican Executive Committees, uniting the organizational structure of both political parties behind his candidacy for Clerk of First City Court. "I thank both groups for this important endorsement of my campaign," said Rep. Badon. "These groups know me, who I am and what I stand for: equity, opportunity and justice. The Clerk of First City Court is the conduit between our people and justice. I am honored to continue my public service in this critical role, and with their united support."
Mr. Badon also has the endorsement of the Alliance for Good Government, BOLD, RDO (Regular Democratic Organization), GNOR (Greater New Orleans Republicans), as well as leading elected officials and business leaders in New Orleans. "My skill set with years of management experience as well as a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management is the right fit for this position. The Clerk is the custodian of records and generally the first person that the public will meet as they seek justice. This is about providing good, quality customer service that is cost efficient and administered in a fair manner," said Mr. Badon. He also has the endorsement of former U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu; Ruby Bridges; New Orleans Councilmembers Helena Moreno, Jason Willilams, Jay Banks and Kristin G. Palmer; Legislators John Bagneris, Joe Bouie, Jimmy Harris, Walt Leger, and Wesley Bishop; Clerk of Court Arthur Morrell, School Board members John Brown, Ethan Ashley, Ben Kleban and Woody Koppel, and others.
