The visit is extra special as officials from C-SPAN will visit with Brendan Gonzalez. Brendan is a Social Studies teacher at Ben Franklin High School and is a 2013 C-SPAN Teacher Fellowship Award Recipient. The C-SPAN Bus is helping inform communities about the public affairs network’s new First Ladies feature series and promoting C-SPAN’s student documentary contest, StudentCam.

About Audubon Charter School
Audubon Charter School was established in 1981, Audubon quickly became an outstanding school within the community. In January 2006, Audubon Montessori became Audubon Charter School, operating under the governance of the Board of French and Montessori Education, Inc. or FAME, Inc. In May 2006, the Orleans Parish School Board granted Audubon Charter School an additional building, which currently houses the upper elementary and middle school grades.
