What: Grand opening event of Einstein Charter High

Formerly Sarah T. Reed High, Einstein Charter Schools was chosen to reopen the school by the Recovery School District in 2015. Einstein officially opened the location as Einstein Charter Middle last fall.
“It is a privilege for Einstein to provide our students and community with a high-performing high school in Michoud,” says Einstein CEO Shawn Toranto.
Einstein Charter High will open in the same location on July 29th and will welcome a new class each year until the first class graduates in 2020. Einstein Charter High will feature both a college preparatory curriculum and career and technical education including culinary arts, health sciences and engineering.
“We are so excited at the opportunity to offer students an exceptional program geared toward college and career preparation,” says Einstein Charter High Principal Tiffany Cherrie. “With a faculty and staff committed to the success of our students, we will design college and career readiness in a way that offers students rigorous coursework and applied learning across all subjects.”
Special guests include Senator J.P. Morrell, Sheriff Marlin Gusman and more. The community is encouraged to attend.
