Hynes Charter School, which hopes to expand its elementary program to a new site on the UNO campus, and Audubon Charter Schools, which will open a new Montessori French Immersion program in Gentilly next year, are joining other Greater New Orleans Collaborative Charter Schools (GNOCCS) in the open enrollment ENROLL NOLA program offered by the New Orleans Public School System, announced GNOCCS Director Ken Ducote.
GNOCCS represents 12 charter school communities which offer some of the top academic performing public schools in Orleans and Jefferson Parishes. Only two of its Orleans members (Ben Franklin High School and Lusher K-12) require separate enrollment applications.
"We are pleased and excited that the enrollnola.org process has provided flexibility to accommodate many of our schools which offer unique language immersion or other focused programs," said Dr. Ducote. "We encourage parents to start their applications to these schools now so that their children can be accommodated in these high demand, excellent public school programs."
The OneApp application for the 2018 – 2019 School Year is open until February 23. All GNOCCS school websites and contact information can be accessed from gnocollaborative.com or Click here to apply via enrollnola.
