International School of Louisiana hosts 2014 Open Houses and School Tours at all campuses

The International School of Louisiana (ISL) will hold Open Houses for parents and prospective students in grades K-8 at its Jefferson, Uptown, and Westbank Campuses. Interested parents are invited to visit the school on these dates and learn about ISL’s unique and high quality education. The school is also hosting official Campus Tours on a variety of dates throughout the school year to help accommodate perspective families. The mission of the International School of Louisiana is to provide a challenging education emphasizing language immersion, international awareness, the celebration of diversity and community responsibility. ISL’s Uptown and Westbank Campuses are open to any resident living in the state of Louisiana. ISL’s Jefferson Campus is open only to residents of Jefferson Parish.

ISL (grades K-8) is the first multi-language immersion school chartered by the State of Louisiana.  From their first day of school at ISL, students learn core academic subjects in their target language.  At ISL, children acquire a second language naturally, through everyday conversation and classroom instruction. In 2007, ISL was named a national “Charter School of the Year” by the Center for Education Reform, the only Louisiana charter school to receive this honor.
