International School of Louisiana (ISL) to Host 10th Anniversary Refrigerator Art Auction & Gala10/15/2013 International School of Louisiana (ISL) to Host 10th Anniversary Refrigerator Art Auction & Gala International celebration includes Gypsy guitarist, African dance and drum corps, Flemenca and Latin Caribbean bands and circus arts performers What: 10th Annual Refrigerator Art Auction & Gala to benefit the International School of Louisiana’s Enrichment Programs When: Saturday, November 9, 2013, 6:00 PM to 10 PM; Patron Party starts at 6:00 PM and Gala begins at 7:00 PM Where: Louisiana Children's Museum, 420 Julia Street in New Orleans Tickets: General admission tickets are $60 each or $100 for two, inclusive of music, food, wine and beer, and auction; Patron tickets are $125, including benefits of general admission tickets plus admission to Patron Party and preferred seating. Entertainment: Patron Party entertainment is by Micaela y Fiesta Flamenca and Iona and the Beledi Jewels. Entertainment at the Gala includes Raphael Bas on Gypsy Guitar and Harmonica; AsheSon, a Latin Caribbean Band; N'Fungola Sibo, an African Dance and Drum Company, the ISL Circus Arts Performers and more. Inspired by the humble kitchen appliance that serves as the first showcase for budding artists everywhere; this fun-filled event features an eclectic art and non-art auction, fantastic food, and an open bar. The Auction includes its featured hand painted custom-designed fridge doors and custom made international baskets filled with specialty items from countries around the world. Event proceeds support Enrichment Programs at the International School of Louisiana, a public charter school providing a language immersion education in French and Spanish. ISL has three campuses: Uptown, Westbank, and Jefferson Parish.
