Louisiana Connections Academy, a statewide provider of free high-quality, highly accountable online K-12 schooling, will open enrollment for the 2015-2016 school year on March 3 and will be conducting in person information sessions with parents and students across the state, beginning March 9, announced Principal Glenda Jones. “We have over 300 spots we are adding across all grade levels this upcoming academic year,” said Principal Jones. “We encourage all prospective families to attend the information sessions and enroll their children now.” Enrollment topped 1,700 students at Louisiana Connections Academy for the 2014-2015 year and is expected to expand by more than 300 K-12 students for the 2015-2016 academic year. Parents can enroll their child online at: http://www.LouisianaConnectionsAcademy.com Beginning in March, Louisiana Connections Academy will host free parent information sessions to answer parent and student questions about the online school program. The first event is Wednesday, March 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the school’s new Russell J. Henderson Memorial Building, 4664 Jamestown Ave., Baton Rouge with an Ice Cream Social meet and greet with school administrators and teachers. The information sessions review the school’s curriculum, programs and provide opportunities to ask questions of teachers and currently enrolled families.
