Lusher's summer program, Summer Arts Intensive (SAI), will be offering a Music Institute offering dynamic courses in jazz improvisation, composing and arranging, theory and keyboard, and genres of musical history with an emphasis on New Orleans music, culture, and history. Throughout the month of June, classes will run from 9am to 3pm, Monday through Friday.
Positive Vibrations Foundation is offering scholarships for the Lusher Music Institute. This year, they are generously providing 25 full-tuition scholarships for Intermediate/Advanced musicians in instrumental music and jazz music who wish to train in Lusher's High School Music Institute.
Scholarships are available to high school students from Lusher and the New Orleans area. Those interested in applying can do so by checking the PVF checkbox on the online registration form.
