Maria A. Newman Carrere & Richard Perque, co-chairs, and the Gala Committee are committed to raising $90,000 in support of Morris Jeff Community School’s rigorous academics grounded in diversity & inclusion.

Who:         
Morris Jeff Community School has been recognized nationally as a model for public education. The school was intentionally designed by the community in post-Katrina New Orleans and reflects the racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic diversity of the New Orleans.  By celebrating diversity and inclusion and embracing a rigorous International Baccalaureate curriculum, Morris Jeff serves nearly 900 children in grades PreK-9 and is a 2017 Top 10 Highest Performing School in New Orleans according to The Times-Picayune.

9th Annual Community Gala to benefit Morris Jeff Community School where guests will enjoy an evening of internationally-inspired food & beverage pairings, music, and silent auction.

Patron Party tickets are $125. Patron Party attendees will be able to bid on exclusive silent auction items and be treated to food and beverage by Mondo and Second Line Brewing.  General admission tickets are $60 per person, and includes entertainment, food, drinks, and silent auction.  Silent auction boasts 4-Day Park Hopper Passes to Disney World, jewelry by Mignon Faget and Mimosa, a $300 Private Shopping Party to Vineyard Vines, Cocktail Class for 6 people at the New Orleans Drink Lab, Famous "Be Nice of Leave" Dr. Bob Painting and many more unique items and experiences!

About Morris Jeff Community School
Morris Jeff Community School opened in the fall of 2010 as a Type 5 open-access public charter school.  Morris Jeff serves 890 students in grades PreK-9 at its beautiful new campus in Mid-City and will grow to a full Pre-K through 12th-grade school.  It is currently the only elementary school in Orleans Parish that is authorized as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), and is a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).  More information is available online at www.morrisjeffschool.org.
