Cadets of NOMMA will participate in a clean up day at their new home aboard Federal City. Cadets will learn about the upcoming Earth Day and then break into Platoon sized formations to scour the Federal City site in search of errant garbage needing to be secured.
The cadets will meet on the school’s 425 O’Bannon St. campus in Federal City in Algiers on Friday, April 18 from 8:15 am to 10:30am.
Over 350 cadets from the school will participate with the aim to help beautify Federal City and the community.

NOMMA is the nation’s only open enrollment charter high school with a Marine Corps Junior ROTC focus. Though graduates are not required or expected to enroll in the military services, the school utilizes the discipline, problem-solving, communications and self-responsibility culture of the military to build academic success with its students. NOMMA accepts high school students from throughout the 10-parish metro New Orleans area, offers a college-preparatory curriculum, features a Cyber Innovation Center to build tech skills in its students, and requires participation in the Junior ROTC cadet program.
