The Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools invites all current and potential charter school leaders and board members to a seminar hosted by its TOP SHELF program, titled Avoiding Employee Lawsuits, Wed., May 7, Noon to 1:30 p.m, LAPCS Offices, 7th floor, 1555 Poydras St.

The session will be facilitated by Attorney Michelle Craig of Adams and Reese and will cover essential strategies to promote healthy relationships with charter school personnel.
TOP SHELF Director Makiyah Moody said this event is a resource offered to the charter school members of LAPCS to enhance school and board capacity, and engage discussion on issues critical to a school’s success. In addition to seminars and webinars, the Top Shelf customizes sessions for individual charter school boards and has recruited 170 prospective board members from across nine parishes.
