Assessor’s Office Now Accepting LAT 5 Forms Online
Business Owners Encouraged to attend information sessions April 3, 4, & 5
 
In a concerted effort to continue making operations more modern and efficient, the Office of Assessor Erroll G. Williams will now accept LAT 5 Personal Business Property Self Reporting Form online at www.nolaassessor.com.   
 
“I’m excited to see how business owners respond to the opportunity to file online,” said Assessor William, “and I’m optimistic the transition will go smoothly. Hopefully, this will set a strong precedent as we consider expanding online submissions for additional forms and purposes.”
 
To make the transition easier for local business owners, the Assessor’s Office will host several question and answer sessions with Business Personal Property Supervisor Mickey Markey.
 

The sessions are free and will offer direct staff assistance regarding completion and online submittal of the form. The LAT 5 is a declaration of a businesses’ merchandise/inventory, if applicable, and the cost and year of purchase of fixed assets, such as equipment and furnishings.           
 
Interested parties are strongly advised to make reservations as space is limited. Reservations can be made by calling (504) 897-6152 or emailing [email protected].
 
The forms were recently mailed to all commercial entities in Orleans Parish and are due no later than April 30, 2013.           
 
The forms are also available for download at www.nolaassessor.com.
