Young Audiences Charter School will hold its 5th Annual YACS Fest on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Kate Middleton Campus at 1407 Virgil St Gretna, LA. The entire community is invited to join the family-friendly fun. The event will feature performances by Curtis Pierre, Music of India, and YACS students, as well as carnival games, inflatables, a dunk booth, and arts and crafts booths led by professional teaching artists. There will be delicious food, including jambalaya and hot sauce donated and prepared by Zatarain’s. Additionally, the YACS Parent Community Organization will be selling baked goods to refresh classroom school supplies. Healthy Blue, a health plan for Medicaid, is generously supporting this event as a lead sponsor. Other sponsors include Zatarain’s, Cane’s, Arts Council New Orleans, and the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation, and Tourism in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council. Proceeds from YACS Fest will support the academic and artistic growth of our creative learners, particularly as the school expands to additional campus space to accommodate YACS’s extension to pre-K through high school.
